Started in 1994, the “Earth from above” project was born from Yann Arthus Bertrand’s dream for a general survey on the state of the Earth at the eve of the 21st century… an in depth project involving quite considerable means as well as a truly rigorous approach. As a result of this project, the team has been to over 150 countries to date, photographs of thousands of sites have been taken, and it still monopolises a great deal of time and energy from all involved. Though it invites us all to take our own responsibilities, this testimony remains resolutely optimistic. Each portrait, be it of the Earth or its inhabitants, aims at showing the best in order to appeal to what is best in us.
Since 1999, “Earth from above” exhibitions have travelled all around the earth, and it’s with a great joy and enthusiasm that Silent Partners was in charge of all the technical aspect of the exhibition.
It was held for three months at “Le Caudan Waterfront”, Port Louis.
